The blaze broke out shortly after 9:00 AM in a vacant building adjacent to the Longhorn Restaurant. Flames quickly spread, threatening neighboring structures and the historic cattle pens. Over 100 firefighters from multiple stations rushed to the scene and immediately deployed aggressive firefighting tactics. They used water cannons and aerial ladders to contain the blaze, preventing it from spreading to nearby businesses. After several hours of intense firefighting, the flames were extinguished by early afternoon. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries to firefighters or civilians.
